Redistribution of funds versus solving the problem
Have you listened to the candidates say how they will solve our energy problems? Obama doesn’t want to increase drilling. He wants to give people a rebate from money gleaned through taxing. This is a classic socialistic concept, the redistribution of wealth. McCain’s approach is to address the problem holistically, reducing the cost of energy by increasing our capacity to produce cost effective energy.
As a country we’ve really shot ourselves in the foot in regard to energy. I hear a lot of “not in my back yard”. If we can’t see the big picture, if we are unwilling to make the hard decisions, we have got to expect to pay more for the energy we need.
We need to drill, we need refineries, we need to stop sending our dollars to foreign countries.
